The quality check
What the grade means and how to fix what it finds.
Every design gets a grade (A, B or C) and a score out of 100. The Quality check panel lists what lowers it, often with a button that fixes it, like fitting the design in the hoop or making it larger so thin details sew well.
The industry standards it checks
- Stitches between 0.3 and 7 mm long.
- Fill rows 0.35 to 0.45 mm apart, satin stitches 0.35 to 0.5 mm apart.
- Satin columns no wider than 7 mm.
- Pull compensation of 0.2 to 0.4 mm.
- Underlay under fills and columns.
- Long jumps trimmed.
- Lettering at least 5 mm tall.
Tip: A design bigger than the hoop can't be sewn in one go. Choose a bigger hoop in Size and stitches, or make the design smaller.
